  1. Love the site. Just played Diamond Creek up near Boone! Amazing! Only negative is that I think the 9’s should be reversed. How come you didnt write a review of Congaree?

    1. Hi Chuck,

I’ve never played Diamond Creek, but I’ve heard it’s a special place. As for Congaree, it’s one of a handful of places I’ve played where my host asked me not to write a review on the day. Maybe one day that will change, but I’m always happy to respect the wishes of any host. Thanks for the comment!

  2. Graylyn – why haven’t you managed to visit some amazing courses of your neighbour to the north? Here in Canada we have so many incredible courses!! It’s much closer than the UK or Australia, and your dollar goes a long way up here! From amazing new resort courses on our East Coast like #1 ranked Cabot Cliffs (Coore & Crenshaw), #5 ranked Cabot Links (Canadian architect Rod Whitman) to other top ranked courses that have hosted the Canadian Open such as Hamilton Golf & CC (2019 host , ranked #4, Harry S Colt design, who also designed Pine Valley; Muirfield; Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s; Sunningdale; Wentworth; Royal Portrush; Royal County Down), The National G&CC, St. Georges G&CC (all in Ontario) as well as other incredible courses in western Canada – Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Vancouver area Capilano & Shaughnessy. Come visit your friendly Canadian neighbours – you won’t be disappointed!!

    1. Hi Bob, thank you for taking the time to comment! My lack of Canadian travels isn’t for lack of desire. When time and budget allows I’ll definitely take a trip up north! In fact, many of my good golf buddies from the University of St Andrews were Canadians, all of whom spoke very, very highly of the courses in the country. I’ll get up there at some point, hopefully much sooner than later!
